Endurance
Have you ever started out in a game full of pep and
then suddenly given out? Of course, you have to be
in training if you want to carry on to the end of a hard
game but, apart from this, there are certain kinds of
food that will give you endurance. They stay with you
longer than the foods that give you pep.
The foods that help you to "stick it out" are butter,
margarine, cream, cooking oils, cheese, eggs, bacon,
other meats and nuts.
Get up early enough so that you will have time to
enjoy a good breakfast-eggs or cereal and milk (or
both), plus toast, a strip or two of bacon, an orange
or grapefruit and a glass of milk. This kind of breakfast
gives you endurance for a full morning's work.
